Shawna,

I'm sure you have more lurkers than commenters. We love your blog! I check it all the time, but I don't always comment. This week has been craziness. We had Gage and Josh's graduations, and Ashley's Kindergarten promotion, Taylor's 6th grade promotion. I was hosting my mother-in-law at my house in the middle of it all and was trying to entertain her. Now the kids are finally on vacation and I'm off vacation (as you have been for the last couple of months.) It cracked me up when my mother-in-law was here and she could see Ashley's demands in action. Literally as soon as I sat down it would be less than a minute before she was calling me. The kids had a half a day off yesterday and we've already had lectures about fighting, cleaning up after ourselves and had to split up the day and make an errand for sanity's sake. This morning I woke up at 6:15 to try and beat them up to get something done. By the time I came downstairs they were ALL AWAKE, with TV's on. So much for that. We are starting a new thing where the TV's come off in the morning and then they can watch a little in the afternoon. They'll have to be off by 8:00 today and then it'll be a long day until they're on again. It could be worse I could've been born in those times where I would've been a farmer's wife with no phone, no neighbors less than a mile away and I only take a trip to town every few weeks!

That's great to hear, because I love commenting!!!! I was talking to some of my fellow teachers at work today. They are part of the older set--probably in their fifties. Anyway, some of us younger teachers were trying to explain blogging to them and why we do it. They just didn't get it. "Why would I want someone to read my journal?" they would ask. "I can just call my friend on the phone and talk." Must be a generational thing.

We are frequent visitors to your blog. We love reading about the adventures you are having (especially the kids). I'm just glad we don't have (or least don't see) half the crazy insects you've snapped pictures of. We hope you guys continue to enjoy Costa Rica. Wish we could join you...but the bugs decided we'd better stay in Cali.

Hello, hello! Greetings from western New York! We just had quite the thunder storm!! Lots of open space around us, so we get a very good view of what's going on. Nature sure has a way, I'll tell ya! I know you are learning that down south, heehee. My kiddos are almost out of school and my sister is coming to visit very soon. Can't wait to see her!! Lots to show her. We have more family coming in July and look forward to seeing the Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra and going to the many Church historic sites with them. I've loved reading about your adventures in your new home!! (((HUGS)))
